quality possible. Focus on delivering world-class
service first, then (and only then) consider marketing

EPNET understand all about customer service. It is our
primary goal to our clients because without them we fail
as a business. You will not believe that nearly EVERY
client has, on our first meeting, told us stories of how
they have already been let down by their previous
contacts with people in the web design business in South

We can only deduce that these web designers
are making so much money as it is that they can afford
to loose a few clients or that they don't understand
anything about marketing themselves and how to hold onto

Customer service in South Africa, in general, is a very
poor quality sure it is up to the management to train
staff and put policies in place and this is where it
falls down, management simply does not care enough about
quality service, they would rather delegate it. A client to
us is a privilege and we are proud when we get a new
client as we feel that we have gone the first step. Our
next step in our service delivery is to retain that
client for as long as possible. We do this by constantly
maintaining contact, something from us at least once a
day! Clients want to know that you are concerned about
them and you need to show it. None of this is rocket
science, it is simple and it works!
Example
As an example I was at a new client meeting the other day. The client
had advised us previously that he had asked two other
web design companies to quote. We delivered a web design
proposal for a new product. After going through the
document and answering some questions on our way out the
client turned around and stated that he thought our
presentation both professional and insightful and said
the other two web design companies simply emailed him a
quote and he was very impressed with us.

New Technology
There are thousand of companies out their purporting to
care about customer service, spending thousands on CRM
products, Call Centres and other new technology but the
simple answer is go out and shake a guys hand! That is
customer service and all it costs is a bit of time. |
